For those who received reimbursement from AirFrance for delayed luggage, what did you buy?

Hi, I am currently dealing with AirFrance having lost half my luggage at CDG. The suitcase they misplaced had all of my clothes so I do not have any spare clothing at the moment. I know I am able to received compensation for essential items I need while they find my bag but they provide very little guidelines on what is actually considered essential by them. I do not have travel insurance (I know): and have a set budget for this trip that I do not want to throw off with this incident.

I packed very intentionally for each city I am visiting and each activity. I brought 5 different pairs of shoes (from boots for rain, sandals, heels), shorts, skirts, jackets, workout clothes, bikinis, etc.

I do not want to buy basic clothing. I still want to look nice and enjoy my vacation and dress as planned for each occasion while they locate my luggage as I see this as their fault, not mine.

I’m NOT looking to buy designer clothing or take advantage of the situation but I do exclusively buy higher quality clothing (each piece in that bag ranges from $50 to $200) and would like to maintain the look I have while they sort this out. I also do not want to limit myself to ONE outfit a day, because again I had plans of different activities I would do throughout the day (ex. Going to a national park and then a nice dinner at night. This would require 2 different outfits).

So for those in a similar situation, what did you buy that was reimbursed by AirFrance?
