Avis car rental. Question about car configuration. Chrysler Pacifica.

Hi travelers,

I live in Northern California. My family is going to be visiting me next month and we plan to go on a road trip. I have booked a rental car through Avis with pick up and drop off at Oakland airport.
We are 8 of us, including myself who will be driving the car. I booked a minivan, Chrysler Pacifica. I called up AVIS and they said it fits driver + 7 passengers. However most of the minivans I have seen around are 2+2+3 configuration.
Has anyone had experience in renting a minivan through Avis? What was your seating configuration? 7 or 8 seater.

Do you have any better suggestion on what I should be doing?
