best eyebrow pencil for beginners?

ok genuine question because i feel like ive been doing my brows wrong forever lol. just starting to actually get into makeup and brows are the thing im most lost on. i have no idea if i should be using a pencil, cream, powder, gel or what

what do you guys actually recommend for a total beginner? something that isnt going to look crazy harsh if i mess up the application. i tried the chella eyebrow pencil recently because it has a built in spoolie which seemed more beginner friendly and honestly the retractable tip made it way easier to control than i expected. but curious what other people started with and what actually worked
