One week in Sabah, Malaysia and a day trip to Brunei

Did this trip last year and spent about a week around Sabah.

The first few days were mostly around Kota Kinabalu and Kundasang. Spent some time exploring the beaches and visiting Kundasang. The views there were really nice, especially with Mount Kinabalu in the background. My guide actually suggested going to Semporna as well, but I didn't have enough time to fit it into the trip.

One of the more interesting parts of the trip was doing a day trip to Brunei by land. Brunei felt very different from Kota Kinabalu. The city was surprisingly quiet and there weren't many people around. Tried ambuyat while I was there, walked around the city a bit, then headed back to Kota Kinabalu the same day.

Spent the rest of the trip checking out the night markets, eating seafood, and exploring the city before flying home.
