Spring 2027’s Best Color Combinations Are Too Good to Wait For

To know me is to understand that my wardrobe is rooted in a neutral palette. I’m typically a no-frills kind of gal who loves cream sweaters and chocolate brown suede coats. But recently I've been intrigued by the concept of experimenting with saturated hues. Why? Well, for one, I’m thinking of rebranding my personal style this season, and bold shades offer the perfect way to do just that. Primarily though, I’ve been convinced to make this shift after seeing the most delicious color combinations on the Spring 2027 runways.

While at Tibi, I spotted a chartreuse sweater styled with an olive green jacket-and-pants set. Defined by a tonal appeal, this combo is ideal for someone like myself who is gradually entering the color wheel territory. However, the moment I become more comfortable with high-contrast hues, I’ll look toward Tory Burch for inspiration. During its show, the beloved brand showcased a grape purple top alongside a grapefruit orange skirt, proving that vibrant mixtures don’t necessarily have to be intimidating.

Although these color combinations appeared on the Spring 2027 runways, you don’t have to wait until next year to wear them. In fact, you can start styling them now, and the curated edit below demonstrates how to do so.

Chartreuse & Olive

When this ensemble—Look 24, to be exact—came down the runway, there were audible oohs and ahs in the room. I personally loved how Amy Smilovic fashioned two cardigans as a double belt—a clever styling hack that I plan to copy ASAP. But more than anything, I was captivated by the way she teamed chartreuse with olive green, creating a striking duality between cool and warm tones.

Cobalt & Deep Violet

Oh Henry Zankov, the mastermind you are! During his debut for Diane von Furstenberg, the creative director played around with tons of bright hues. One of the standout color combinations was this pairing between cobalt blue and deep violet. There’s something about it that feels so regal and elegant. For my next dressy occasion, I’ll be sure to try this mash-up in the form of a sculpted dress and kitten heels.

Fuchsia & Cream

At Eckhaus Latta, rich tones of pink stood out among a sea of neutrals. Paired with a cream top, the fuschia skirt pictured above absolutely stole the show. I’ll be recreating this lovely combo with a soft cardigan and a sumptuous satin slip.

Grape & Grapefruit

Over the last few seasons, I’ve really been enjoying how Tory Burch has perfected the art of color combinations. For Spring 2027, the designer presented this juicy grape-and-grapefruit outfit that I can’t seem to resist. I’m going to follow Burch’s lead and ground the look with a pair of neutral shoes, as to not overwhelm the ensemble.

Dusty Rose & Moss

Crafted with shades of dusty rose and moss green, this outfit felt very garden-inspired. However, just because it’s grounded in classic spring colors doesn’t mean it can’t be translated into the fall season. Wear it during the cooler months with a warm blazer and lengthy bottoms.

Mustard & Tomato

Tomato red has been trending for a while now, but Ashlyn introduced a new way to style the familiar shade. Coordinated with mustard yellow, it felt ultra-bold in the best way possible. If you want to turn heads, consider the combination with a knit top and playful balloon pants. It’s a look that is sure to garner attention.
